Nonetheless, it’s exactly what Rene “TeSeS” Borg and Rasmus “sjuush” Beck showcased today when Heroic secured a spot in the next stage at Copenhagen Major after cementing a flawless 3-0 run in the Opening Stage this Tuesday.

In the post-match interview, TeSeS had a message for his former teammates who decided to leave the team.

- I think, for me and sjuush this says everything for us. We wanted to prove everyone wrong - those who left the team, let's show them that they did something wrong and made the wrong decision. I believe we have done that, and I want to keep showing it forever, TeSeS said to James Banks.

The story could not have been scripted better for TeSeS and sjuush, who were the only two remaining figures in Heroic going into the 2024 season.

Because the people TeSeS are referring to in the interview are of course the quartet of Martin “stavn”, Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard, Casper “cadiaN” Møller and Sports Director Kasper “Straube, who all failed to qualify for the Major after their transfers to Astralis and Liquid, respectively.

With Heroic now already having advanced to the next stage after today’s 2-0 victory over Eternal Fire, it would be fair to say that the Heroic guys are on top right now compared to the deserters.
