jame reacts after devastating PC crash: I feel empty
The Russian captain shows great character following the super-controversial round on Inferno against G2.
Imagine you’re in a crucial post-plant situation with the score being 11-11. You’ve set up perfect and you just have to defend the bomb. But then suddenly: Your PC crashes and the round is lost, and eventually also the entire map.
A truly heartbreaking moment.
And it was exactly what happened for Virtus.pro’s captain Dzhami “Jame” Ali in their match against G2 today at PGL Major Copenhagen.
“It’s not worth paying attention to”
Despite the controversial incident and the fact that VP only were two rounds away from securing a playoff spot, Jame remained calm and classy after the match, showing no sign of anger or indignation towards PGL or G2 for that matter.
Instead, Jame took the loss like a true professional.
- Many wonder what happened with the bug and so on, and many are tilted because of this. Right now, after the defeat I feel empty, no emotions.
- But in my head, I understand that it’s not worth paying attention to. Because the level of play we showed on Anubis, where there were no bugs doesn’t correspond to a team that should be making it to the playoffs in my opinion. Yes, we could have made it. But it’s part of life. We need to move forward; new tournaments are ahead, Jame states in a video on X.
Heavy praise from renowned analyst
Jacob "Pimp" Winneche, who is working as an analyst at the ongoing Major, went on X to right after the conclusion of Inferno to praise jame for his reaction, which Pimp witnessed first hand.
- I was watching JAMEs body language instantly after their loss vs G2 on Inferno. Man stood up, ice cold, high-fived his teammates and moved on. Don’t care what happens from here, that was a character worth of gold right there, pimp wrote on X.
